Seminar Series – Joan Scott: Non-Invasive Prenatal Genetics Testing

Two recent advances are changing the genetic prenatal screening/testing landscape. Noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT) utilizing circulating cell-free fetal DNA has opened the possibility of noninvasively screening pregnancies and new technologies are greatly expanding the scope of conditions that can be assessed. This presentation will discuss the implications of our growing ability to detect genetic conditions during pregnancy.
