Daniel Kabonge Kaye

Dan K. Kaye, is a Fogarty African Bioethics Consortium postdoctoral fellow in Bioethics based at Berman Institute of Bioethics, and the Department of International Health, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research interests are evaluating the ethical issues in the informed consent in emergency care research, especially randomized clinical trials in emergency obstetric and newborn care. He is an obstetrician-gynecologist and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Makerere University of College of Health Sciences, Kampala, Uganda. He has a PhD in Public Health Sciences (Reproductive Health) jointly awarded by Makerere University and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden (2006), a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Makerere University (1998), and a certificate in Coordinating Clinical Research from University of Alabama, Birmingham (2006).
