Danielle Edwards (PhD Student)
Danielle Edwards is a doctoral student in Bioethics and Health Policy at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is a recipient of the Sir Arthur Newsholme Scholarship and a Center for a Livable Future – Lerner Fellow. Danielle received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Slippery Rock University, a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling from Sarah Lawrence College, and a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to beginning her doctoral studies at Hopkins, Danielle spent several years as a patent attorney in private practice in Washington, DC and served as Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee during the 111th Congress. Danielle’s research interests include ethical, legal, social, and health issues arising from factory farming and industrial food production and using nudge techniques to encourage healthier and more sustainable eating habits.
