As research program coordinator Jessica assists with the research and management for BRIDGES, a National Institutes of Health-funded Center of Excellence in Ethical, Legal, and Social (ELSI) Research. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry. Her graduate thesis work focused on traumatic childhood experiences as a major risk factor for anxiety disorders and depression. She specifically looked at Brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) protein levels in the cortex and hippocampus of adolescent Balb/CByJ mice models.
