Leah Ramsay is the Berman Institute’s Science Writer and Media Relations Officer, responsible for written communications and acting as a liaison with other media professionals inside and outside the university.
Before joining the Berman Institute, Leah worked in advocacy communications for DC Vote, developing messaging campaigns to promote congressional voting representation for residents of the District of Columbia. She also worked on the other side of the media aisle, in documentary production for National Geographic, the Smithsonian Channel and Discovery Networks, and as a writer for DC Style and Metromix.com. Leah worked with prominent independent filmmakers in Washington, including her role as an associate producer on Yoo-Hoo, Mrs. Goldberg, directed by Aviva Kempner, and internship with Charles Guggenheim on his final film, Berga: Soldiers of Another War. This independent film production experience included fundraising, experience she contributes to the Development team at the Berman Institute.
