Mitra Haeri, MBE
Mitra Haeri grew up in the Washington, D.C. area and earned a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, where she double majored in Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) and Biology. After serving in the 2010 Teach For America corps in Baltimore, MD, she went on to do research in neuroimmunology at the National Institute for Mental Health in Bethesda, MD. She continued her research and found her way into the field of medical ethics while enrolled at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she recently earned her M.D.. After completing the MBE program, she plans to begin her residency in neurology. Her interests lie in the field of neuroethics and the ethics of decision-making. In her free time, Mitra enjoys eating out, seeing live music, and hanging out with her husband and their puppy around their home in Baltimore, MD.
