The part-time Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support and assistance in the office of the Director as well as take lead on a short-term project preparing the Director’s office for relocation. The Administrative Coordinator will also be responsible for the preparing of daily files for the Director based on her schedule; confirming of Director’s upcoming appointments; preparation and sending of correspondence; maintaining office records (contact database, subscriptions, library, lecture files, travel, meetings, etc.); assisting in keeping track of office priorities which include scheduling and major projects; performing basic office duties including the sorting of mail, copying, answering phones, preparing and sending facsimiles; serving as a back up to the Sr. Administrative Coordinator as necessary; when required, assuming administrative responsibility for Berman Institute special projects, such as the Levi Symposium, occasional special events, and workshops; scanning, organizing and digitally preparing files for storage; other duties as assigned.
High school graduate/equivalent with 3 years of related experience required. Additional education may be substituted for years of work experience.
Special skills and knowledge: The successful candidate will have excellent word-processing and database management skills; significant PC experience and a thorough working knowledge of Windows, Word and the Internet (knowledge of Excel, Access and PowerPoint are preferred); outstanding interpersonal skills; possesses strong organizational skills; has the ability to manage more than one project simultaneously; excellent writing and verbal communication skills; and ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. |
